Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Hope you all have had great/safe holidays! We were able to stay home for the entire day and just enjoy it as a family. We have LOTS of leftovers, but it was so enjoyable!! None of us got dressed for the day or anything. We hung out in pjs, enjoyed dinner together and then took naps. It has been a wonderful day!

I'm so thankful for these wonderful faces in this picture. I have to be the luckiest woman in the entire world. They are 4 of the greatest blessings in my life. They each make me laugh and cry, they bring such a sparkle into our home, each one a different sparkle that we sure would miss and notice if it wasn't here.

I'm also the proudest wife of the greatest husband. He is my best friend and I think I'm the lucky one in this deal. Many people comment that they are the lucky ones, but I think everyone else is crazy. I'm the lucky one and I look forward to SOOOO many more days like today that I get to just enjoy with my family.

I'm also so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the difference it has made in my life. I'm grateful for the knowledge I have of a loving Heavenly Father who knew me so well that he knew this family was for me. Only 17 more days until I get to keep this wonderful family of mine for All Eternity. What a great blessing. I'm so grateful for Temples that bring that blessing to us. We are so blessed and I'm so grateful for that!

Love you all and Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy 11th Birthday Boo!

Yep, she's getting old!! :) Or I feel old, one of the two! We were able to celebrate Boo's 11th birthday this year. We asked her if we could postpone cake, ice cream and presents to Sunday so that Daddy could be there and not feel too rushed on his hunting. She was fine with that. But, since it was her actual birthday, and the day before Sunday (which you'll understand once you know the gift) we let her open just one present.

As you can see from her facial expression, she was excited. We got her a combination set of scriptures with her name embossed on the front. She had been asking for them and even though they were a little spendy, we didn't mind getting her these because she'll use them for a LONG time. She was a bit excited to take those to church the next day and show them off!
We invited grandparents and a few aunts and uncles over for cake and ice cream. She had a yellow cake with orange frosting. Don't know where the orange came from, but that's what she wanted. Then I put gum drops and sprinkles all over.

She got her new camping chair. Her other one is so old and falling apart, we thought it was time!

She was spoiled. She got some kits to make bracelets and purses. She loves it. She's used them both to make a Christmas gift for Buggy and then she made me a few bracelets. They're pretty cute! She did great on them.

Dad got her the Whoopi Cushion and I'll tell you what, it was the hit of the party. Boo didn't even know what it did so when she sat on it for the first time and the farting started, she turned bright red and then EVERYONE started to giggle...thus creating the next picture!!

This is the kids all playing and being silly. Just had to share it!

Happy Birthday Boo! Sure do love you bunches!!

Grey's River Loop

We decide to take a little drive the first weekend in October. Thanks to Grandpa & Grandma Wolfley and Sandi and Ryder for joining us. We had a great day. (Thanks Grandpa & Grandma Hepworth for letting us borrow your truck...I don't think ours would have made it the whole way!)

This was a really pretty waterfall that Boo loved. We had to get pictures of it.
Boo balancing on a log...having fun playing.

Bubba & Buggy exploring.

Hammy didn't want to go exploring so he hung out with Daddy and Mommy on the tailgate.

Daddy brought his fishing pole to see if he could get lucky...sadly he was not.

On the other side from Daddy, the kids were throwing in rocks with Grandpa Wolfley. Look at Bubba, he had this MAJOR wind up that he would do before he would throw the rock. You can see his leg is up and that arm is back...it was funny watching him.

Helping the kids make some lunch.

In the morning before we met up with Grandpa & Grandma, we pulled up to the side of the road and this is what we found...a group of baby ducks heading up stream. They were so cute and little.

Had to post a few pictures of the BEAUTIFUL colors everywhere.

See, my hubby does love me!! You can find this tree if you go from the South End side, pull off the side to the right...you'll eventually find it. Or not but we officially have a tree up there with our initials on it! Love you babe!

Cute family picture we took right at the beginning of the Greys River. Funny thing with this picture, you had to go up this hill to get to this sign. We were trying to take this picture before we met up with Grandpa & Grandma so Daddy was setting the timer and then running up this little hill to stand next to us...it was funny watching him worry about getting in the picture in time.

This is a closer picture of the sign.

Bucking Bronco

Bubba has officially broken his first horse at the age of 4. We have a colt that was born in April. Bubba is the first and only one to have successfully ridden him around. He was so proud of himself, but not as proud as I think Daddy was!!

Here's the story. We had Moose out to give rides to the kids and to Uncle Josh and Aunt Carrie who were up for a visit. Bubba asked if he could ride Dan (our colt). Daddy went and grabbed the kids saddle, cinched it up, put Bubba in a bike helmet and threw him on.

Dan wasn't so sure about the saddle, let alone the extra weight that all of a sudden was there. He did a few quick turns around Daddy, and yet Bubba just held on for his life...squealing at the top of his lungs. At one point, he held one hand in the air and held on to the horn of the saddle with the other. Scares me a bit, I have a feeling this is only the beginning of these "activities."

When we went to the rodeo this last summer, Bubba started to cry when we left. When we asked him why he was upset he said, "Because I haven't gotten to ride the bull yet!" Ever had your heart drop out of your chest, I did!!

That's my little cowboy!

Halloween 2011

I don't know how it happened but October slipped right by me. I have gotten so far behind on these posts...so if the computer cooperates and I don't get too overwhelmed, I'm going to try and catch you up on the last month of our lives. First off, I'll show you a bit of our Halloween and then we'll work backwards! :)

We were able to get pumpkins at a great price, so we bought 4 and then after Daddy opened the tops, he let the kids go to town on digging out the guts. Hammy wasn't so sure of it all. He kept making faces every now and then. Boo, Buggy & Bubba all dug in and were ready to get dirty! This wasn't their first "rodeo!"

The boys digging.
The girlies.

Daddy using his awesome carving abilities!

The result: cyclops, buck-tooth boy, a deer, and a pirate.

We didn't do much trick-or-treating. They had a trunk-or-treat over here at the Old Rock Church and so we joined in on that. It was lots of fun. Then we visited some family and called it a night. ALL of us were exhausted.

Hammy was about the cutest little giraffe you'll ever see in your life! :) It was very poofy around the belly and the bum and then it had a tiny little tail. It was so cute.

Boo was a Hawaiian girl. Thanks Grandma Hepworth for having more costumes for her to look through. She was glad she found something!

So Bubba was suppose to be Iron Man, as you can see from the costume...but we didn't have a mask and I couldn't afford to buy him one. So his Dad helped him come up with another option...so Bubba went as Iron Sheriff! :)

Buggy was a fairy. We had the costume in our Halloween bin and of course the minute she saw the dress, she just HAD to wear it. It was funny though, she said she was a "Berry" because she doesn't pronounce her F's very well yet. It was so cute. She was the cutest "berry" on the block! :)

Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you all enjoyed yours as much as we enjoyed ours!
